This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Graphic Novels are getting my reluctant readers to devour books. This project will allow students to create custom cutting boards and custom sketch books to engage in art within our literacy block. After reading graphic novels, we will create custom artwork in our sketch books to collect a variety of ideas to ultimately use to decorate our custom cutting boards.

Creating works of art inspired by graphic novels allows students to express their creativity and the custom cutting boards will engage students in the creation of a forever work of art for families to treasure.

Please help me integrate art into our literacy block with this Graphic Novel inspired art project. I hope you will consider helping me improve the future.
