Help me give my students curtains for their classroom so that they can learn without distracting sun glares, and perhaps see the smartboard!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an inspiration to me every day. Many of them come from difficult backgrounds and complicated households. Most are low-income. Many have learning difficulties. The majority are English language learners. ALL of my students are below grade level in literacy. Despite these hurdles, these kids arrive to school every day with an eagerness to learn and a drive for the education their families were not previously afforded.
I teach reading to some fiercely determined sixth graders.
They know that the road to literacy will not be easy, but these students are incredibly strong. They know that they have my support and the support of their fellow classmates. Now, they need the support of their community, so that they can each realize their own potential and accomplish their own personal goals.
My Project
My students would benefit greatly from having curtains in the classroom. I have eight large windows along two walls. Without curtains, it is virtually impossible to darken the room enough to view anything from the projector. I would like to do activities that include hands-on interaction with the smartboard; but the amount of sunlight in my room prevents this. I would like to show video clips to students to engage them when introducing a new topic; clips are impossible to see.
Further, often the sun is glaring so brightly through the windows, the students have a difficult time seeing the teacher and seeing their own work.
We have been forced to stick paper on the windows to help with this eyesore! (The kids deserve better.)
As an added benefit, curtains will provide a warm and welcoming classroom environment for my students, that will aid in providing the "safe haven" feeling I hope all my students feel when they enter my classroom.
