Cursive Handwriting for Third Graders

Help me give my students cursive handwriting workbooks to teach and practice this almost forgotten skill!

My Project

Over the summer, many of my students' hand muscles have atrophied. These workbooks will greatly address their need for handwriting practice, will help build up fine motor skills to improve their handwriting, and serves as perfect instruction for cursive writing. Many of them struggle with handwriting and they love to learn cursive.

Montessori classrooms teach cursive starting in children's lower elementary school years.

These books greatly assist in their independent practice.

The fluid movement involved in writing cursive letters is easier young for children to master.

These books will serve as the perfect practice until they master the material. Each third grader will receive their own workbook to work through as each cursive letter has been taught. They will use them for their independent practice and can also collaborate with each other.
