My Students

Do you remember how you learned the alphabet? Children need a fun and engaging way to develop their alphabet recognition and letter/sound connections. I believe that Zoo Phonics would be the perfect program for my class. We are also in need of classroom signs and daily schedule visuals.

My students range in age from 3 to 5 years old.

They have a variety of disabilities, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Speech Impairments. My school is located in a large urban area where 95% of students are receiving free or reduced lunches. They are such a joy to be able to teach and always smiling and excited to learn!

My Project

My students need a fun and motivating approach to learn the alphabet. Zoo Phonics is developmentally appropriate for all different kinds of children! The program is kinesthetic and multi-sensory as children use their eyes, ears, mouths and bodies to learn.The preschool kit includes materials to easily teach the alphabet,phonemic awareness, rhyming, pre-sound blending, and pre-writing.

The Zoo Phonics program would make a huge difference in my students speech/language development and literacy skills.

The program would be used several times throughout our school day. Thank you so much for your support!
