Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a vibrant group of 7th graders who constantly amaze me with their curiosity and enthusiasm for science. They are part of a diverse community that brings unique perspectives and creativity to the classroom. Teaching Amplify’s Microbiome and Metabolism units has shown me just how eager they are to dive into hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. They thrive when given the tools to explore, experiment, and ask big questions about the world around them.
The circuit kits, magnets, and other hands-on tools I’m requesting will transform our science lessons into more engaging and interactive experiences.
These resources will make abstract concepts tangible, helping students build a deeper understanding and retain what they learn.
My goal for this project is to foster a love of science and critical thinking by making the content accessible and exciting. I want my students to see themselves as scientists—capable of problem-solving, collaboration, and discovering new ideas. With the right materials, I can create an environment where every student feels empowered to participate and succeed.
My students are special because they embrace challenges and bring a genuine enthusiasm for learning to every lesson. Many of them are developing their confidence in STEM, and it’s inspiring to see their "aha" moments when everything clicks. They deserve the best resources to match their potential and drive.
