Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Excited, resilient, and intrigued... those are some words to describe my students. I'll be moving up with my students to third grade where their knowledge is expanded each year by the teachers that provide them with as much as they can. I want to continue building upon this knowledge with the resources I provide them. Children should be excited about learning, just as I should be excited about teaching. In a title 1 school both the teacher and student can be limited to resources, but not limited to possibilities. By making a small donation you are donating to a classroom full of endless possibilities. These donations will allow students a more full library to enhance literacy, allow students to become explorers in math and science, to become time travelers in social science. Most importantly, you will allow these students to wake up every day and come to school eager, supported, and cared for.
My Project
In this project you will see a lot of classroom materials that, although look small, will create endless opportunities for them.
The materials located inside this project range from flexible seating to enhance student-choice learning to small whiteboard sleeves that allow the endless amount of worksheet time in a classroom to become more engaging.
Students can learn organizational skills with the Storex Large Book Bins or can become more engaged by the guided reading WallPops that allow them to jot their thinking whenever they may need. Each thing listed in this project directly affects the students- enhancing organizational skills, creating hands on learning, and allowing for more engaging lessons to be incorporated in the classroom. Students will feel supported and engaged in the classroom with these useful tools inside their room.
