As a teacher in a Title I school, I see students who are eager to learn in spite of having many challenges inside and outside of the classroom. I am looking to give my students a safe and comfortable learning space while they are at school.
My students are energetic and eager to learn!
Many of our students live in a single parent household and receive free or reduced lunch based on socioeconomic status. These students live with circumstances beyond their control, and I want nothing more than for them to feel ownership of the learning that happens in our classroom.
My 3rd grade students need access to quality resources about current events to help them make connections with the real world as they read and write.
Weekly subscriptions for Time for Kids will allow my students to be engaged with the real world events happening around them - at a reading level that will suit their needs.
My students LOVE reading non-fiction texts, especially when they are able to relate what they are reading to their real lives. Our classroom has 1:1 technology, and students will also have access to digital Time for Kids resources as a part of this subscription.
