My Students

I am a 2nd-grade teacher with a class of 23 students this year. They are amazing 7 and 8-year-olds that are excited about learning. They love to ask questions and are always wanting to know more. We are going to have such a great year diving deeper and trying to really strengthen their understanding in all curriculum areas.

My Project

With the help of Time Magazine for Kids, we want to learn about current events on a weekly basis. It has been helpful for my students to see positive and negative events that are happening around them and discuss it as a class. They have also discovered a love for art and I would like to give them the chance to express their feelings about these events through art. I think these donations will allow my students to process current events in a new and productive way. We are excited to get started!
