My Project
I want to give my students more access to read about current events throughout the school year. They will be excited to know they are reading a real magazine.
Research shows that students learn to read better when they are given the chance to read about interesting topics and build more background knowledge.
I believe these weekly magazines will allow my students to grow as nonfiction readers and actually get excited about reading them each week. My students don't get enough access to these types of materials. They include interesting articles that they students will want to read.
