Curl Up To A Good Book!

My students need Comfy chairs that they are able to sit and enjoy reading in a quiet area in the classroom. These chaurs allow them to sit and relax in a chair other than hard wood.

My Students

My students love to read and enjoy the quiet and relaxing time. I teach in an uban a school in Cleveland where the poverty level is high. My students come from stressful home lives where they come to school for a less stressful environment where they can focus and learn. It makes me so happy when they want to curl up in a good book while learning the standards in Language Arts. My students are safe and respected in my classroom where unlike their home they will not be judged or constantly yelled at.

My Project

My students will be able to curl up in a quiet corner in a comfy chair and practice their reading. These chairs will allow my students to relax and let go of the stress that they bring into the classroom every day from their home life . They will be able to focus on their books which will help them work on their reading and comprehension skills. Thank you for your support in helping my students enjoy reading. By focusing on reading they could master the state test. The only way to become a better reader is by practice and if the students feel safe secure and comfortable I know they will find reading more enjoyable.
