My Project

My middle school students have limited opportunities to engage with natural wonders. I want to add these crystal-growing kits and butterflies to my library so that my students can see firsthand the beauty of the butterfly life cycle and the wonder of growing crystals. Some of the kits will be for students to take home to share their learning and excitement with their siblings and families!

Imagine the excited conversations and questions the students and I will uncover while these amazing crystals and butterflies grow in the library where everyone can see them!

This is a perfect opportunity to talk about the wonders of the earth and current environmental issues. We will be able to learn about the science of butterflies and crystals. These topics will connect to their science curriculum and invigorate their school day!
