Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are living in a very tech-savvy world, and my students don't have the technology to keep up!
My classroom consists of twelve students with special needs in grades kindergarten to third grade.
I teach wonderful students in a classroom with many wonderful supplies. However, one thing that our 116 year old school is missing is wonderful technology!
My Project
With more classroom computers, my students would be able to get access to the many online and CD-ROM computer games available. These games give them individualized practice with specific skills that they need help with. Our classroom participates in "centers", which are various reading and math activities. My students love going to the "computer center". Currently, we have one computer and one tablet in our "computer center", and since the students typically rotate in groups of four, children have to share a computer. I would be so grateful if our classroom could acquire another computer, as well as computer headphones, so that each child in the group could have their own access to our computer games.
These students would love a laptop computer and computer headphones to help them become more knowledgeable about technology and to help them grow in their reading and math skills.
Help our little learners get up-to-date with a classroom computer!
