Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school have so little and I want to give them so much more. All of the students here come from homes below the poverty line, and I want them to have the chance to experience something that can influence their lives.

Our students have so very little and with this donation, this will allow them to be able to compete with students of a different demographic.

Our kids are so special that even without the resources, they still work just as hard or harder to try and rise to the occasion. I love the fact that our kids already know the odds are stacked against them, but they face adversity head-on!

My Project

As more and more students return to the building, they are going to need some items that will help them power through the day. As most of our kids have been home for over a year, returning to the building is going to be a huge transition for them. The specific outcome for this is to make sure that our students have something that will give them a boost to power through the day.

As most students return to the building after having been gone for over a year in most cases, they will certainly need a quick pick me up during the day or during their afterschool program, especially our seniors who are preparing to enter college or the real working world.

The students will certainly benefit from this as they will need the mid day pick me as way to help them get through what will become longer days. The students will have to start getting used to spending a majority of the day in the building and a good cup of coffee is what the students, especially our older students often request.
