Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Implementing the RCA House System in my class will provide benefits that will deeply impact my students. This will create friendships and closer bonds with their peers. Each student will be assigned to a house and they can earn points that go towards their house throughout the day. I am hoping that this will motivate the students to want to do their best. Having the flags will create a culture of belonging.
Throughout the year, each student’s personal accomplishments will be rewarded with points that collectively count towards their house.
This gives students an opportunity to be recognized and thanked by their peers daily for their individual contributions to their house. By raising these flags, I hope to encourage good behavior and academic success among students because they all know that those things help get them get more points.
