Culturally Responsive Library

Help me give my students books in Spanish so that my bilingual and ML students have equitable learning opportunities. This also includes snacks.

My Project

I have an incredible group of 28 fifth grade students this year. Their interests and abilities cover a huge range. We know that students who enjoy reading at school make more progress in learning.

These books will continue to enhance my multilingual learners’ proficiency in Spanish.

My classroom library is full of English books of all sorts, but, it is lacking books in Spanish. These books will pair with English versions of the same title, so students will have opportunities to converse about the same book.

Additionally, the snacks will provide much needed energy for these busy and energetic students. Your support is so appreciated!
