Culturally Responsive CS Projects

Help me give my students create their 3D Historic Black figure using supplies as well as to help them design their project using posters and chartpaper.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be asked to create a 3D moving and talking model of a Historic Black figure for Black History month. Students get the choose the figure and have creative freedom of how they represent them. Students in the past have made sports arenas for sports figures, movie sets for movie stars, inventions of famous black inventors. The list goes on.

Your support will give students the supplies needed to create a hands on and creative experience.

These students are very creative and have the artistic skills needed to make amazing creations.

Before we get to this portion of the school year, students will need to understand Algorithmic Thinking which the Soma Cube Block puzzles do a great job to create a tangible activity to learn this important skill for when they make their project.

We use the Hummingbird Duo kits to make the models animated and have AI voice using text-to-speech with the Spring API.
