My Project
Students that were in 3rd to 5th grade during the pandemic were statistically the most affected by COVID; these are my students now. It is important for the students to apply what they are learning to their lives, so I created a hands-on project in our Culture Unit for the students to tell me about their culture.
They will use the Expo markers to take notes on a culture video and draft their projects on a whiteboard, and the pencils, erasers, sharpeners, colored pencils, and markers to create their own Culture Puzzle on copy paper.
They will use the world map to trace their country, or create a shape of their own that represents their culture.
They will use the headphones to watch a video describing culture. They will present these projects to their peers so they can learn about each other's culture, and their peers will give them feedback by writing on sticky notes and attaching them to their classmate's project.
We will use the Clorox wipes to clean up each desk between classes to keep them safe from illness. They will use the folders to keep their projects safe in their backpack- as well as use these folders to transport paper to and from home.
