Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students need more practice reading, but do not always see themselves in what they are reading. By providing more culturally diverse reading material beyond the curriculum, students can grow to appreciate the world around them.

Exposure to diverse cultures through literature helps students gain a broader and more inclusive worldview.

It allows them to see beyond their own experiences and understand the richness of human diversity.

The hope is that by providing more diverse reading material, students will continue to practice and strengthen their abilities, not just in English but in all classes. Incorporating culturally diverse novels into the high school curriculum can be a powerful way to enrich students' educational experience and prepare them for a more interconnected and diverse world.
