Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My bright and curious kindergarten students are at a pivotal age for social-emotional development. They are learning how to navigate friendships, manage big feelings like frustration and excitement, and express their needs and wants respectfully. My classroom is a safe space where students are encouraged to grow not just academically, but also personally.

To support my students' social-emotional learning (SEL), I am requesting a collection of high-quality picture books and engaging learning tools.

The books I've selected are part of the "A Little Spot of Feelings" collection and help children identify and name emotions like loneliness, frustration, and worry. They teach empathy by showing characters navigating similar challenges and offer concrete strategies for self-regulation.

The learning toys will allow students to work on kindergarten skills while working collaboratively with their peers.
