Cultivating Growth: Support Our Middle School Gardening Program

Help me give my students tools for our garden. Our results will be donated to a local food pantry housed on our middle school campus, helping to feed some of our neediest families.

My Project

As the seasons change, so does the opportunity for growth and learning at our middle school. We are excited to share with you a project that is close to our hearts – our Lorax Club Gardening Program. This initiative is more than just planting seeds; it’s about cultivating the minds and spirits of our young students.

Gardening is a powerful educational tool.

It teaches responsibility, as students care for their plants. It instills an understanding of nature’s cycles, as they watch their plants grow. It encourages healthy eating habits, as they harvest what they’ve grown. But most importantly, it brings together math, science, and environmental studies in a hands-on, interactive way.

Our goal is to get new gardening tools, soil, and raised beds, eventually one for each grade level. With these basic garden supplies, we can ensure that our gardening program will be a sustainable part of our curriculum for years to come.

All vegetables that we grow are donated to families in need, having a positive and direct impact on families experiencing food insecurity here in our own community.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference.

Your support will not only help our garden grow but also bloom the potential within each student, it will provide a sanctuary where students can learn about sustainability and the environment while gaining practical skills that will last a lifetime.
