Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As part of our Student Council service project this school year, we launched a series of beautification days to improve our campus. Thus far, we have improved our campus landscaping around the front of our campus and the bus turnaround area and also repainted faded wooden lunch tables. We are hoping to continue this work as the school year continues and into next year. Another area of need in our campus we have identified while doing landscaping is the buildup of debris and dirt along our parking lot and curbs.

With the resources requested through this project, we hope to be able to continue our campus beautification by targeting the areas of need with the rubber broom and sweeper attachments to clean up the curbs and parking lots of our campus.

The use of these attachments, along with the power tool and rechargeable battery, will allow us to be efficient with our efforts. In addition, the universal expand-it option of the power tool also provides us with future opportunities for expansion, as the needs of our beautification campaign changes and the needs of other attachments can be incorporated later as needed.
