Cultivating Critical Thinking and Creativity in AP History

My Project

I am privileged to teach an amazing group of AP World and AP European History students who are curious, determined, and ready to tackle big ideas. They come to class willing to question, debate, and explore the deeper connections between the past and today’s world. I want to help them take their learning even further by giving them opportunities to work collaboratively, think critically, and create meaningful projects that bring history to life.

The materials I am requesting — whiteboards, easel pads, art supplies, organizational tools, and presentation resources — will help students brainstorm, plan, research, and showcase their projects.

Instead of just reading about history, they will engage with it, solve real-world problems, and share their learning through podcasts, museum displays, documentaries, and historical simulations. These resources will transform my classroom into a dynamic, project-based learning environment where every student’s creativity and voice can shine.
