This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Functional farming in a Urban environment. Our gardening class aims to promote a deep appreciation for the environment while inspiring creativity through hands-on learning. Students will learn how to use hydroponic systems (an alternative method of growing plants) and how to create custom labels, garden decorations and educational materials.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique experiences that will help them develop their creativity.

We aim to show them different ways to grow their own gardens and harvest wonderful products. I have noticed that they are curious, eager to learn, and willing to make a difference. By integrating technology with gardening, my goal is to empower them to think critically and creatively about how they can contribute to a more sustainable future.
