We are a college bound kindergarteners, excited everyday about the opportunities that come with learning all that we can. As the teacher, I strive to make learning fun and engaging for us on a daily basis. I truly believe that every child can learn anything if taught to them in the proper manner.
We are a low income, Title One school that has access to minimal supplies and technology and great literacy options.
Also, some of my students where highly affected by Hurricane Harvey and are still displaced. I have reached in my pockets multiple times to purchase backpacks and school supplies for my students who lost everything. Our school, though dealing with its own struggles from Harvey, has also opened the doors to another school as they are fully housed on our campus because their campus was destroyed in Harvey.
We would be most grateful for the support of DonorsChoose as we continue in this amazing journey or learning, exploration and discovery, we are on everyday as the future leaders of America.
These materials will make a difference as it allows for hands on manipulation of items from every letter in the alphabet. They will be able to make real life connections with the letters and letter sounds. This is the first step in creating a strong foundation for a love of literacy and reading abilities which will be needed throughout their life. I pride myself as a teacher on making sure their foundation is solid and they are beyond prepared for the next phases of their educational life. These alphabet tubs are fun and engaging ways to keep students interested in learning.
