This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

MHS is a small school in rural Arizona with a great group of students, who work best in vocational and hands-on settings. We opened a culinary classroom five years ago, and it has become a very popular class amongst our students. We serve a lower income area. While most of our students will not go on to become professional chefs, a huge percentage of them will work in the food service industry putting themselves through college, starting their careers, and as a second job as they start out in life.
