Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a very rural area and many have not been away or had the opportunity to travel. They are hard working and love to come to school because that is where they get to interact with everyone. They love to explore and try new things. I have an amazing group of kids.

My Project

I come from the career and technical education world. I believe that our students learn better and apply their skills through career and tech education. It is practical knowledge they can use for the rest of their lives. Our culinary and hospitality class will teach students how to cook, clean, manage, and navigate the culinary industry. We will also grow and cook our own food. This whole process will allow students to see where their food comes from how to prepare it and if they so choose where it goes to. This in person class will also teach measurements, using and converting fractions, recipe and direction following and more.
