Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Last year the children and our school went through a lot due to the hurricane. We are trying to put all that behind us. This year we are going to focus on personal well-being.
They are a happy-go-lucky bunch of kids that want to feel safe and secure.
The little scholars are eager to learn and strive for excellence. They may not have much at home, but that does not keep them from having high expectations when it comes to their education.
My Project
Many of the boys and girls have lost a lot of their possessions due to the flooding caused by the recent hurricane. These soft and lovable stuffed animals are just what the kids need to feel a bit more secure.
If you have ever had a favorite soft teddy bear or soft squeezable fluffy cat or dog, then you can understand how soothing a cuddly toy can be when hugged.
The children need a soft animal to hug and hold during class for comfort and to take home for even more added comfort and love.
If you love to see children smile and feel comfort and warmth, then this is the project for you. Your kind generosity will ensure they have a bit of warmth to hold on to.
