Help me give my students a Cricut and heat transfer iron to make their designs come to life! It will be used by many classes for a variety of projects in grades 6 through 12!

My Project

The Cricut Maker 3 will significantly enhance learning for students by offering hands-on experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking and technical skills. The Cricut will encourage creativity by designing projects that will turn abstract ideas into tangible objects. Students will learn to use the Cricut and its software to introduce basic graphic design principles and technology use. It will help students grow their problem-solving skills by requiring them to plan and troubleshoot their designs, refine their ideas, and solve problems creatively which are all invaluable skills. The Cricut will be centrally located for cross-curricular use by 425 students in grades 6 through 12. Many projects using the Cricut are more engaging and visually appealing when they are done in teams, teaching students how to collaborate.

The overreaching goals of this project are to give students tools to enhance their learning experiences, cultivate a maker culture, equip students with skills for the digital age, and prepare students for future educational and career opportunities.

The students at our school are fantastic individuals who deserve every opportunity to enhance their learning and their potential to shine. Every student brings a unique blend of talents, interests, and perspectives to the Design Den. This makes the learning environment rich and diverse. The Cricut will help students with untapped creative potential that is waiting to be unleashed through the right mix of technology and encouragement. Our students have an eagerness to engage with new ideas, tools, and technologies.
