Help me give my students cubes of various sizes to help them experience how volume is determined.

My Project
Students learn best with hands-on experiences and manipulatives. Working in a Title I school, students often struggle to connect the numbers on the page to actual real-world experiences and concepts. By having various sizes of cubes to work with students will be better able to understand what volume is and how it is determined.
I plan to have several opportunities for students to experience volume as well as use the cubes for interventions.
This will allow me to start off the unit by demonstrating what volume is and then moving to an experience where students are able to determine how many cubes will fit in a space. Moving on to determining how many will fit when they do not have enough to fill the space. Once students understand the concept of volume and how it is determined, they will then be able to use that understanding as a basis for more conceptual understandings and how to determine volume using only numbers.
