My Students
My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges we are facing is providing resources for the students in the classrooms to help with sensory regulation.
My students cube chairs to help learn strategies to keep their bodies regulated and have a defined boundary for seated activities.
These resources will be provided for students to use while in their classrooms.
My Project
Cube chairs help students during seated work. These chairs are used for our youngest of learners to have an areas that they can safely wiggle and still attend to the task. The chairs help them know where their body is in space and help them regulate their own wiggles as they learn.
The cube chairs are used in small group and large group work.
These chairs can help students by provide a side to help lean on, an area to know that is theirs, and room to wiggle when needed.
