Do you remember your kindergarten days in school? Or the feeling you felt walking into a classroom environment enriched with supplies?
Well, I am the teacher of 30 five and six year old Inner city students who love to come to school to learn.
We are in a public Elementary school in Pennsylvania that ranges from grades K to 5. The school is 100% percent low income and unfortunately our district is currently suffering from a massive budget cut.
My Project
I am asking for cubby bins to enrich my classroom environment so that all of the students have the same supplies. There are currently 30 students enrolled, but only 10 of the students have cubby bins to store their art and writing supplies. Students would store their art smocks, clip boards, markers, crayons and supplies in their cubby bin.
I want all of my students to feel they have the same supplies provided in the classroom.
The bins will be washed out each year and reused every year. The bins come with a lifetime warranty from Lakeshore and are guaranteed by the company to be durable. Please help provide a productive early childhood environment not only for my current class, but for many little ones who will enter kindergarten in the future.
