Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you imagine a packed classroom with students' stuff all over the floor? One of the challenges of my classroom is that I don't have a place for students' stuff. I'm having to constantly walk around and pick up their backpacks and jackets off the floor. It is quite hazardous for all of us.
My school is a small, Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program.
Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My Kindergarten students come to school eager to learn each day.
My Project
I am requesting 2 Cubby Storage Units to store their stuff. I've been wanting to provide an organized classroom for my students. After seeing so many other classrooms, I realized that I should really have storage space for my students. I'm going to give up my space for the teacher desk and replace it with these cubbies.
Having these cubbies will provide not only an organized classroom but a safe one!
We won't have to worry about tripping over backpacks, lunch boxes, or jackets on the floor. My students will be able to independently take care of their stuff.
This won't be possible without donors like you! Thank you for your consideration!
