Cubbies for Autism Pre-K

Help me give my students a Kit Cubby 25 Tray Mobile with Multi-Colored Trays that is safe, clean, and helps with organization of their learning materials, play items, and toys.

My Students

My students are preschoolers with moderate-severe autism and other special needs, including Speech and Language Impairment. These students come from a large district and over 90% receive free or reduced-price lunch. Parental involvement varies but it is my goal to help all students regardless of home life. Their backgrounds are diverse but our classroom will become one of unity.

My students are kind, curious, and bright children who love to learn.

I am excited to teach them skills to better promote their learning and prepare them for an inclusive setting for kindergarten.

My Project

The key to success in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom is organization and routine. Children do best when their learning environment is clean and organized. As a teacher, I am responsible for creating a space that reflects the learning goals of the workspace, the personality, interests, and age of the students who learn there and to create a space that is a comfortable and productive learning environment for all.

The Mobile Cubbies I have requested will help my students organize their learning centers.

It will help teach them where to put their learning materials, dramatic play items, and other toys in an organized manner. Teaching them executive functioning skills. The cubbies will help define learning areas for the children by serving as boundaries to our safe place and dramatic play areas.
