We have an energetic group of students who are looking to start their own student news station. Through fundraising we were able to purchase a camera for the project but now we need your help to complete our news studio.
We want to create a daily news program featuring school news and human interest stories.
We plan on using this program to keep students up to date with current events going on in the school and the community. We also want to highlight some of the amazing things that our students and staff are working on.
My Project
This year students have come to us with an idea to create a student news station. They would like to produce daily news shows in the morning that focus on school events and happenings.
We are going to take a look into the soul of our school and find out what makes our community so special.
On top of daily announcements and events, we are also looking to report on human interest stories. We have many members of our community that have stories of struggle and triumph. We would like to share these inspirational stories to help inspire others.
Our students have already fund-raised enough money to purchase a video camera for the program. Now we need your help to complete our studio. We are asking for equipment to help turn our small studio into a revolutionary news lab. The items that we are looking to purchase are a microphone lavalier system to help produce high quality sound for our news anchors, a mount to turn one of our iPads into a live screen teleprompter, and a portable lighting system that will allow us to do interviews around the school and community. These elements will help make our broadcast as professional as possible. It will also expose students to the skills involved in broadcasting and production.
