My Students

As a teacher in an elementary school, grades 1-5, with diverse students from all nationalities, it is important to me that my students are equipped with the necessary tools to succeed. All of the students in my classroom receive free breakfast and lunch.

If I had to describe my students in a few words, I would say that they are dynamic, talented, and inquisitive.

We work together as a community of explorers, scientists, and researchers. Every day is filled with new learning possibilities and challenges. My students are always willing to embrace these challenges and persevere.

My Project

Literacy centers offer the opportunity for my students to practice and review skills taught and foster independence. In our classroom we have center time when students are in small groups working together to practice specific skills in phonics, grammar, and reading comprehension.

Hand2Mind Versa Literacy tiles will give my students the opportunity for independent self-checking of skills.

The classroom set will be enough for every student to have their own supplies and provides a wide variety of skills to supplement the curriculum taught on a daily basis. This will be a fun and engaging addition to my literacy centers.
