Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project is to help my class of 2nd graders learn and understand the complex knowledge of our Earth. The Lakeshore Dig & Discover Gemstones, Crystal Growing Kit for Kids, and the Dig a Dozen Fossil Bricks offer a hands-on approach to helping students understand what it is like to be an archeologist or a paleontologist searching for their subsequent discovery. The Volcano Science Kit for Kids will help show how crystals, gemstones, and fossils can be created. This would be such a fantastic and engaging opportunity for my classroom!

These activities we are asking for would allow these students to have a hands-on experience that can help them better understand what we are learning.

Many students don't get an opportunity to get to work with fun experiments that make learning fun and more visual for learners who need those supports. Being able to provide this to my students would be extremely helpful. These projects have the potential to inspire a new curiosity in our world.
