This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When I first started teaching, seniors would decorate the backs of Burger King crowns and wear those to rallies. As the school population has shifted and shrunk, I've noticed a significant drop in school spirit and whimsy. I would like to give my students an activity before their first rally where they get to make themselves a crown.
I want to do my part to recharge school spirit and build community.
Once my students complete their crowns, I'm hoping other seniors will come to my room asking for a crown of their own to decorate.
