My Students
There are 15 PreK students in my class who represent several different cultures. Three of the students have already been identified as having a special need which does not keep them from interacting with their peers and learning new skills and information.
The students in my class benefit from a variety of concrete learning experiences and opportunities.
My students are bilingual which makes it easier for them to talk with classmates who are native English speakers. This also allows them to be able to understand the class rules and routines and follow teacher directions.
My Project
We are using the Creative Curriculum at my school this year. I would like materials such as a ramp and ball exploration set and create a path activity set to use during our Balls Study. The magic water marbles will allow the students to experiment and observe how objects can change size and return to their original form.
PreK students need to explore and participate in STREAM activities that will enhance their creativity and problem solving skills.
By using these materials, my students will be able to design their own ramps and paths then experiment with ball movement. Through trial and error, they will be able to revise their designs in order to produce the desired result.
