Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have an exceptional group of students who are always eager to learn and grow. Our program includes a diverse set of learners who each have the same goal, which is to develop a healthier lifestyle. We love the ambition and drive that our students have to be successful. Our students come from low economic homes, and are breaking generational trends by aiming to live a healthy, and active life. Our students aren't able to successful participate in outside activities due to living in conditions with limited play area. Giving our students the proper equipment to explore and research health related topic to be successful is our goal.

My Project

With these materials the students in physical education would be able to bring in other subjects into the gym. Using these materials that they would normally use inside of their typical classroom will give students a different out look on learning.

Students will be able to use reading (annotating), writing (expressing their thoughts clearly), and math (flash card, problem solving) with these materials, ultimately enhancing their individual abilities in different subjects.

Bringing different subjects into the gym will give students a better understanding that learning takes place anywhere not just inside of their typical classroom, and that the skills that they are learning can be used almost anywhere.
