Cross Curricular on the Court!

Help me give my students new methods of learning through cross curricular lessons! I plan to utilize the whiteboard and accessories as I incorporate other subjects into my teaching!

My Students

My students are always very excited to come to P.E. class! If I see them as I'm walking around the school throughout the day, they are always so eager to hear what we will be doing in P.E. next time. It is a great feeling for them to have such excitement for my class, which makes it all the more important that I have things planned to the best of my ability for them to get the most out of my lessons.

Cross curricular teaching is something I want to emphasize this upcoming school year with my students.

While P.E. provides a different type of instruction, it doesn't mean I don't make a conscious effort to apply knowledge, principles, and/or values to more than one academic discipline simultaneously.

My Project

The new rolling whiteboard and accessories will go a long way in developing the whole child during my lessons. I certainly emphasize physical literacy in my class, but physical education can and should be so much more than just that. I want to incorporate math and sciences into my lessons as well.

Cross curricular teaching has so much value especially considering the correlation between kinesthetic learning and overall academic success.

This project will give me the ability to teach on the go in an active learning environment as I cover many bases. I plan to cover various terms and definitions as well as financial literacy as it relates to P.E.
