My Project
We are rebirthing our cross country team in an effort to get more students involved in extracurricular activities at our school. My students are located in a rural area in an equity focused school where 100% of students receive free or reduced lunch. We are looking to have this program takes off to create additional opportunities for students in need of different outlets. The canopy tent and team bench will allow the team to have a place to sit and rest during cross country meets. Last year, was our first year with a new coach and new runners as we attended a meet we were the only team without seating and it was heart breaking to see students with the blankets sitting on the ground under a tent with a hole in it. Please help me give my students the confidence they need to compete in areas surrounded by others who can afford to have what they don't.
