My Project

Our school is located in the northern region of the district and serves a small, close-knit rural community. With an enrollment of fewer than 400 students, the school provides a nurturing environment where every child is known and supported. Approximately 85% of our students come from families with incomes at or below the poverty level, qualifying all of our students to receive free breakfast and lunch each day.

We are creating a calming space designed to support students who may need a quiet break from the stimulation of the larger classroom environment.

This space will offer a peaceful setting for students to reflect, regulate their emotions, and reset before returning to their learning. The goal is to promote emotional well-being and help students re-enter the classroom with a sense of calm and readiness to engage. It is our belief that addressing students’ social and emotional needs is essential for their overall academic success.
