This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My seniors have spent the last three years working hard and have faced some challenges since returning to in-person learning a few years ago. They want an outlet to help keep their senior year calm and stress free. We have spent the last three years preparing them to stand on their own two feet and become the leaders of the future rather than the followers. They need to learn to manage stress.

I want to make my classroom a calm relaxing place where the seniors can come and relax to get away from the craziness of classes and do something fun and relaxing.

Having beginner crochet kits like The Woobles Kits will help the students spend their lunch in a calm, relaxing environment away from the stress of the cafeteria and give them a break from the business. They will not only get to destress but also learn a new hobby that can help with that in the future.

We are a high-needs school with highly-motivated students. Right now, schools are unable to fund items like this because so much has been taken out of their operating costs. Your contributions will afford my students an opportunity to help them prepare to be independent learners who know how to manage their stress as they head off to college.
