My Project
My students have special needs; many are impulsive and get themselves into trouble when they have too much free time. I am an avid crocheter and knitter and the students have expressed an interest in learning these skills also. (Many have also never seen a man work with yarn before!)
Crochet and knitting provide fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination; and also teach patience, determination, and self-reliance.
Help me to begin a crochet and knitting club for my students so that I may teach them this valuable skill and give them an appropriate activity to occupy their free time. We need crochet hooks and yarn.
