Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students that come to my class are bright, energetic, and eager to learn. But more than a few of them come to Kindergarten without any school experience at all! Not only do the new students not know how to write their names or color inside the lines, but some students struggle with holding a pencil or crayons.
The vacuum will allow for a clean classroom and help to minimize the spread of germs.
At our school, classrooms only get vacuumed once a week. My classroom has a large rug where we do most of our learning. If you are familiar with four and five-year-olds, they are little but can make a big mess. A simple craft activity that involves cutting can end with hundreds of little pieces of paper on the floor. At this age, students are learning how to use scissors and have not mastered their fine motor skills which leads to lots of practice and lots of messes. It is important to keep and maintain a clean and tidy classroom environment. It also reduces allergy and asthma triggers. The most important benefit of a clean classroom is the fact that it maximizes the learning experience of the students.
