My Students
I work at a school district that serves a student community that is 90% Native American. They are respectful, motivated, and eager to learn. Due to the rise in Covid cases within our community, our school has moved to 100% virtual learning. In our classroom, my students feel heard, respected and safe.
My Project
This comprehensive STEM set is a creative and developmentally appropriate form of engineering for elementary students. With a wide range of learning abilities represented in my classroom, it is necessary to offer a range of learning experiences. These bins will provide numerous opportunities for students of various age and ability levels to think outside the box and develop problem solving and critical thinking skills.
These STEM bins will help promote collaboration between students and increase students interests in STEM related career fields.
I plan to use these bins for morning work, fine motor practice, and exploration. These bins will also be used for early finishers and serve as positive behavior reinforcements. STEM bins will help my students learn how to collaborate with each other, promoting social development and learning how to work efficiently and effectively in small groups.
