I teach amazing second graders. My school is very diverse. It consists of one thousand economically disadvantaged students who struggle with reading and language development. Some of my students cannot speak English well or at all.
My students are motivated to learn and achieve.
Resources are hard to find when providing students with the skills and foundations to be successful in school. My students love to learn. I want to foster the love of reading in them because I know how important reading is.

Technology is the future. Technology is now. It is so important for children to learn how to use technology. My students love learning on the computer. We need two Chromebooks for our classroom.
My students will use the Chromebook for Literacy and Math stations. They can practice spelling words and study vocabulary. They will read books online and even learn about history on Social Studies Weekly website. Chromebooks will also allow them to do research and publish their writing online. The Chromebooks will be a wonderful asset to our classroom.
