Critical Thinking Through Thinking Maps and Anchor Charts!
Help me give my students a standing whiteboard to allow them to work collaboratively in small groups, and present their thinking in a visual way as part of the learning process. They also need calculators and other supplies.
I teach 6-8 grade students with a range of conditions in a 12:1:1, self-contained classroom. My students are the best! They are smart, enthusiastic, and creative!
My students love to learn, explore, and are eager to immerse themselves in any challenge that comes their way.
They inspire me every day to be an exceptional teacher for them.
Many children struggle in school and some with a learning disability. Having a learning disorder means that a child has difficulty in one or more areas of learning, even when the overall intelligence or motivation is not affected. That is why using various strategies for the different types of learners is essential. One strategy is the use of whiteboards.
Whiteboards are great learning tools in how they engage both the body and brain in the learning process.
Whiteboard work is both kinesthetic and visual. The act of writing and drawing engages my students physically and mentally, and that boosts learning.
The use of whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom. The standing whiteboard would allow working with my students more effectively in the centers. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
