My Students
Our school is a Title I Assist school and I am fortunate to teach students that are creative, thoughtful and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges which allow them to be creative and think outside of the box. They are very inquisitive and motivated by technology.
I would like to be able to add daily use of technology to our math and literacy rotations each day in order to further immerse my students in greater learning and exploration of more topics.
They come to school each day energetic and ready to learn new things. They enter the door with a ready to learn attitude and we are busy all day from beginning to end. The amount of learning they accomplish in one year is no easy feat! But with teamwork and lots of fun projects, we get the job done.
My Project
We are requesting Osmo Kits for our classroom. Osmo is a versatile way to extend the use of Amazon Fires in the classroom. The Osmo kits would be a great addition to our classroom and very supportive of student learning in key areas like social-emotional, creative-thinking, STEM, and critical thinking.
The use of Osmo kits would appeal to all learners since it presents many levels of learning and moves the learner through an adaptive pace.
I would use Osmo kits in student work stations to extend learning concepts. Flexible math learning with numbers, coding, and engineering solutions are all ways I would use Osmo kits with students.
Math, reading, and creative thinking are all emphasized through the use of Osmo.
