My Project

A large majority of my students are from low income homes. Our students lead busy lives and in addition to regular course work, they are involved in many different activities on campus such as sports, band, and advanced classes. Many students also work after-school jobs to help support their families or babysit younger siblings while their parents are at work.

Students visit our library for many reasons throughout the day such as to read, check out books, complete assignments, or spend time in an inviting and relaxing environment.

We encourage students to read for pleasure and also to improve upon their critical thinking skills. Part of improving their critical thinking skills comes in the form of library challenges such as puzzles, riddles, digital escapes, etc. I like to provide students with prizes for completing these challenges and need your help to provide them with these prizes.
